Visceral Manipulation
Visceral manipulation is a gentle manual therapy that focuses on the internal organs (viscera) and their surrounding connective tissues. In Registered Massage Therapy, it is used to improve the mobility, tone, and function of organs by releasing restrictions in the fascia that connects them to the musculoskeletal system. This technique can help relieve pain, improve posture, and support digestion and overall organ health. Visceral manipulation is often integrated into treatment plans for chronic pain, postural issues, and conditions with underlying visceral components. It requires advanced training and is slowly applied with precision and sensitivity.
Hannah has received additional training in visceral and fascial treatment for the uterus and bladder. Contraindications for receiving this form of treatment include IUD’s and pregnancy.
